Hi
I have been researching and visiting the battlefields and the soldiers who fought in the First World War since 1990, when I first picked up the book 'First Day on the Somme' by Martin Middlebrook.

My first endeavour at putting this research to some good use can be seen at the site Ewhurst Fallen, where I have attempted to compile the endeavours and loses of the men of the village of Ewhurst, in Surrey.

This site is the start of trying to pull a few of those lines of research together, and make future research easier. With luck it will also assist anyone who also has a similar interest. As always, I am keen to hear of anyone else's experiences or research.

Other hobbies include light and vintage aviation, aerobatics, photography and any country pursuits.
